About

Tate Carver is a retired developer who spent most of his life working across the Southeast before settling into a quieter routine on his land. He writes the same way he talks with friends around a fire or on the tailgate after a hunt—straightforward, steady, and shaped by the stories he’s heard from veterans, neighbors, and longtime hunting partners. His chapters reflect the things that matter to him: the hunt, the people who show up, and the pride he carries for the country he calls home.

When he’s not writing, Tate is out with his hounds, Rebel and Dixie, working the same pines and creek bottoms he’s hunted for years. He pays attention to the simple things that make a night worth remembering—the first bark, the push through thick cover, or an easy conversation carried between trees. Those experiences naturally find their way into his stories, giving his writing the feel of a hunt shared between friends. Tate Carver is a fictional character we write through here at American Treehound, crafted to tell stories in this unique voice and style.
